How to Build a Pokemon Team
Start by choosing the game or National Pokédex, then fill the six team slots with Pokemon that match your plan. Mix types instead of repeating the same weaknesses, and use the live summary to spot problems before opening the detailed matchup tabs.
Team Weakness Analysis
The defensive checker compares all 18 incoming attack types against every team member. It highlights shared weaknesses, resistances, and immunities so you can see which matchups need another answer.
Offensive Type Coverage
The coverage view shows which defending types can be hit super effectively by at least one type on your team. Use the missing coverage list to choose a final member that adds useful attacking options.
Pokemon Team Builder FAQ
How does the type analysis work?
It combines each Pokemon's one or two types using the standard 18-type chart. Abilities, moves, held items, and battle formats are not included.
What does offensive coverage mean?
It shows which defending types can be hit super effectively by at least one of the types already present on your team.
How do shared teams work?
Share creates a versioned link containing only the game selection and up to six Pokemon IDs. Opening it restores the team without an account.
