How to play a mono-type Pokémon challenge

Spin once and use only Pokémon that include the selected type. Dual-type Pokémon are valid as long as one of their types matches the result. Use the generated six as-is, reroll the team while keeping the same type, or move the result into Team Builder.

Yes. A Pokémon qualifies when either of its types matches the roulette result, which creates a larger and more varied team pool.

Does every type have enough Pokémon for a team?

Yes. Every official type has more than six eligible base species in the National Pokédex.

Can I keep the type but change the team?

Yes. Use “Reroll team” to generate six different Pokémon without spinning for a new type.
